Srinagar, July 20 A massive fire broke out in the Rajbagh area of Srinagar on Sundqy evening, engulfing at least three residential houses near Usmania Masjid.
Reports reaching news agency JKNS that the fire started from one residential house and rapidly spread to nearby structures. Flames and thick smoke could be seen billowing from the area as panic gripped the locality.
An official from Fire and Emergency Services told JKNS that our team, assisted by locals, rushed to the spot and we are making all efforts to douse the flames.
The operation was still underway when this report was filed.
No reports of injury or loss of life have been confirmed so far. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be known, official said.
