Srinagar, Apr 28 : In a strong step against the drug menace, SSP Anantnag Amod Ashok Nagpure has ordered that individuals involved in drug-related cases will not be granted security clearance.
As per details shared by Anantnag Police in a post on X, as per news agency Kashmir News Corner—KNC, SSP Anantnag has directed that all drug-linked individuals will be flagged during passport and job verification processes.
The directive states that cases involving narcotics will be specifically recorded and reflected in official verification reports to ensure strict scrutiny at every level.
Police said the move aims to tighten the noose around drug peddlers and prevent their facilitation in sensitive clearances and public service-related processes.
Reiterating its commitment to the ongoing “War on Drugs,” Anantnag Police said such measures are essential to dismantle the drug network and safeguard society, especially the youth. (KNC)
