Srinagar, June 30, KNT: A plumber sustained critical injuries after he was reportedly electrocuted and fell from a height while carrying out plumbing work at a residential house in the Barzulla area of Srinagar on Tuesday.
The injured man was initially taken to the Bone and Joint Hospital and was later referred to SMHS Hospital for specialised treatment.
According to the house owner, the plumber was working at his residence when he reportedly came into contact with an electric current. The electric shock was followed by a fall from a height, resulting in a serious head injury.
Hospital sources identified the injured as Noor Mohammad, aged around 45 to 50 years. His complete address and parentage were not immediately known.
Doctors at SMHS Hospital said the injured man’s condition was critical.
Police have taken note of the incident and further investigation is underway. [KNT]
