‘Paying Rent for Land Allotted Through Government Order’
Srinagar, Nov 26 (GNS): Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry Incorporation on Thursday rebutted the media reports about the body being a ‘beneficiary’ under Roshni Act.
KCCI spokesman in a statement received by GNS maintains that “We (KCCI) have been allotted land on lease vide Government order No.REV(NDK)203 of 2000 Dated: 24-11-2000 and subsequently we are paying rent under the allotment.”
“The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry being registered under Companies Act and could have never got the settlement done under Roshni Act”, the statement reads.
Rebuffing the reports published in some local dailies, the statement reads that “Now today some daily newspapers have carried the news of the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry is one of the beneficiaries’ under Roshni Act which is completely false.” (GNS)
