Continuing its drive against the drug peddling and its propagators, Police in Awantipora have arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
A Police party of Police Post Reshipora headed by IC PP Reshipora at a checkpoint established at Renzipora Crossing Awantipora, arrested a drug peddler identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Dar son of Mohammad Akbar Dar resident of Renzipora. During search, 630 grams of Charas was recovered from his possession.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR Number 36/2024 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Awantipora.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddling in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law. Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
