July 18: Police in Budgam have arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession in Chadoora area.
A police team of Police Station Chadoora, intercepted a suspicious person carrying a polythene bag in Repora village. He has been identified as Bashir Ahmed Ganie son of Ghulam Qadir Ganie resident of Wagam, Chadoora. During search, 307 grams of charas-like substance wrapped in corn husk were recovered from his possession.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 133/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Chadoora and investigation has been initiated.
