May 17: In its relentless crackdown against illicit drug trafficking network, Srinagar Police have arrested a drug peddler from Bemina area and recovered contraband substances from his possession.
A Police team of Police Station Bemina during patrolling, intercepted a scooty rider at Hamza Colony near Medage Building. He has been identified as Mohd Rafiq Kaloo son of Ab. Khaliq Kaloo resident of Sumbal Bandipora A/P Mansoor Colony Bemina. During search, substantial quantity of Brown Sugar and Charas like substances were recovered from his possession. He has been arrested and the scooty bearing registration number JK15B-0703 has also been seized.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 36/2025 under NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bemina and investigation has been initiated.
The consistent actions of J&K Police against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
