March 06: In a significant breakthrough in the ongoing efforts to eradicate the drug menace, Police in Ganderbal has detained two notorious drug peddlers under PIT NDPS Act, after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority.
The two notorious drug peddlers, Danish Ahmad Dar son of Gh Mohd Dar resident of Wakura Ganderbal and Shahjehan Ahmad Parrah son of Nazir Ahmad Parrah resident of Zazna Ganderbal have been detained and lodged in Central Jail Kotbhalwal Jammu and District Jail Udhampur respectively after obtaining formal detention orders.
Police is fully committed towards protecting the society from the menace of drugs. These detentions are a step forward in dismantling the networks responsible for spreading this menace.
