April 19: Continuing its sustained drive against illegal mining, Police in Pulwama carried out a targeted operation in the jurisdiction of Police Station Litter and took strict action against violators involved in unlawful extraction activities.

A police party from Police Station Litter conducted a raid at Rambi Aada, where illegal extraction of minerals was found in progress. Acting swiftly, the team seized 03 dumpers and 02 JCB machines involved in the illegal activity.

In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 45/2026 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Litter and investigation has been initiated.

J&K Police remains committed to its zero-tolerance policy against illegal mining and urges the general public to cooperate and share information regarding such unlawful activities.
