Srinagar, July 1: The Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) on Wednesday attached the Srinagar property of former Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) president Dr. Mubeen Ahmed Shah as part of an ongoing investigation into a case registered in 2020.

Official sources said the attachment involved 12 marlas of land situated at Buchwara in Srinagar. The action was carried out in connection with FIR No. 07/2020 registered by Police Station CIK after completing the required legal formalities.

A Counter Intelligence Kashmir team executed the attachment proceedings in the presence of the local revenue authorities, who completed the necessary documentation on the spot.

Dr. Mubeen Shah, a well-known industrialist who headed the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry between 2006 and 2008, has been living in Malaysia with his family since late 2019.

The attachment of the property forms part of the ongoing investigation, with officials maintaining that further legal proceedings in the case will continue in accordance with law. [KNT]
