Shopian, June 5 : At least six persons sustained injuries after a Swift car skidded off the road and rolled down near Dubjan in the Heerpora area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday.
A police officer told news agency KNC that the accident occurred at Dubjan under the jurisdiction of Heerpora Police Station when a Swift car bearing registration number JK11D-4114, on its way from Rajouri towards Shopian, lost control and veered off the road.
The vehicle was being driven by Sunil Sharma, son of Ramesh Sharma. Besides the driver, five other occupants were also injured in the mishap.The injured have been identified as Sunil Sharma, Rajesh Kumar, Plavi Chandan, Aarav Kumar, Prachi and Dua Kumar.
Soon after the accident, locals and police personnel rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to District Hospital Shopian for treatment.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further investigation.(KNC)
