Srinagar: A professor of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences, Wadura Sopore, has been convicted in a sexual harassment and subsequently awarded one year jail and a fine in tune of rupees fifty-thousand.
As learnt, a Court in Sopore, delivered the decision in favour of the prosecution to convict the accused in the case in a record nine month period. The now convicted professor held the position of HOD (Extension) in SKUAST Wadoora, when the case was filed against him.
Pertinent to mention here that the trial of this case was concluded within a period of nine months.
