Sopore Police have arrested 02 gamblers and recovered stake money and playing cards from their possession.
A police party of Police Station Tarzoo headed by SHO PS Tarzoo Insp. Khalid Aslam under the supervision of SDPO Sopore Shri. Sarfaraz Bashir-JKPS apprehended 02 gamblers at Play ground Tarzoo & recovered stake money of ₹2910/- & playing cards from their possession.
They have been identified as:
- Ghulam Hassan Rather S/O Ghulam Nabi Rather R/O Kunder Mohalla Tarzoo and
- Abdul Ahad Malla S/O Ghulam Mohammad Malla R/O Ningli Bala Sopore
Accordingly, case FIR No. 26/2024 under relevant sections of law stands registered at PS Tarzoo and investigation has been initiated.
Persons found indulging in criminal activities shall be strictly dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local police units.
