SSP Srinagar Approves Time-Bound Promotions for 68 Police Personnel

Srinagar, May 18, 2026:: In a significant step aimed at boosting morale and recognising dedicated service within Jammu & Kashmir Police, Senior Superintendent of Police Srinagar, Dr. G. V. Sundeep Chakravarthy, IPS, has approved time-bound promotions of 68 Police Personnel serving in different establishments of District Police Srinagar.

The Promotions have been granted under the prescribed rules after a detailed review of service records, performance, and eligibility criteria of the officials concerned.

The promotion order benefits 36 Constables and 32 Followers who have successfully completed the requisite years of unblemished service.

This initiative reflects the commitment of J&K Police towards recognising sincere and long-standing service rendered by its personnel while ensuring their timely career progression and welfare.

While congratulating the promoted personnel, SSP Srinagar expressed hope that the Promotions would further motivate them to discharge their duties with greater dedication, professionalism, and commitment towards public service.

He further emphasised that merit, discipline, and devotion to duty remain the guiding principles of the Police Department and reiterated that the welfare and career advancement of police personnel shall continue to receive due attention.
