Srinagar, Dec 11 (GNS): A woman was injured inside her home on Friday when a stray bullet came down through the roof and hit her in the leg at Woolina village of the central Kashmir’s Budgam district. Reports reaching GNS that the woman identified as Fatima wife of late Ghulam Rasool Rather was at home when suddenly a bullet fell from roof and hit her on the leg. The relatives took her to District Hospital Budgam for treatment. A senior police officer confirmed to GNS the injury to the woman. Locals told GNS some bullets came from airport side and fell down on roofs of their houses in the Woolina village. The locals have also taken to streets to protest against the incident. Further details are awaited. In a statement to GNS, the Police said that Police station Budgam received a report that due to some aerial firing shots few tin roofs in village Woolina have suffered damage and one lady has received injury. On this police party led by SHO Budgam reached the spot and the injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.
