Party Insiders Rebuff ‘Resentment’, Allege Selected Media Portals of Manipulation of Mandate

Srinagar: As Jammu and Kashmir National Conference seems set to bestow the mandate to Chaudhary Mohammad Ramzan for the touted Baramulla segment, some selected media portals have been reported of an alleged resentment brewing up among party cadres, especially by the supporters of Mir Saifullah.

The media reports have even hinted of a defecation in case Chaudhary Mohammad Ramzan, as it apparently looks, is preferred over Mir Saifullah.

The former Law Minister Saifullah is alleged of holding clandestine parleys with some rival parties. “Saifullah alongside his supporters may switch to some other party if they fail to get any decision in their favor,” said reports.

Meanwhile, JKNC party insiders have vehemently rebuffed the uncalled for media reports over the alleged resentment by the Mir Saifullah of his coterie.

“There is no such thing as reported by some media portals,” the insiders said adding, “Such uncalled for reporting is just being done in an attempt to manipulate the party mandate.”

“It is the handiwork of some selected media portals who in connivance with some political parties peddle such reports which otherwise are quite contrary to the ground situation,” the insiders said.

“We hereby ask such selected media portals not to play in the hands of some political parties for their petty interests,” they said.

“Let us give a chance to the party leadership to have their say instead of resorting to any propaganda reporting,” they added.
