Boniyar, Apr 11 (GNS): A teenage boy who was critically injured in a road accident in Boniyar area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district succumbed to his injuries after 11 days of treatment, officials said on Saturday.

The accident, the officials told GNS, took place on March 31 at Bela Boniyar when Faizan Ahmad Mir (13), son of Mohammad Afzal Mir, fell from an e-rickshaw bearing registration number JK05B-9881.

He was initially shifted to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Boniyar and later referred to a hospital in Srinagar for advanced treatment after sustaining a serious head injury.

“Despite sustained medical care, the boy succumbed to his injuries at a Srinagar hospital,” the officials added. (GNS)
