Shopian, Oct 4 (GNS): In a shocking incident, thieves decamped with gold ornaments worth lakhs from the house of Nazir Ahmad , resident son-in-law of Ab Salam Dar, a resident of Dobipora, Imamsahib Shopian, while the family was busy harvesting apples in their orchard.
Reports said the family had left home early in the day to pick apples, and on their return, they were stunned to find the house ransacked. Gold ornaments and valuables had been stolen, leaving the family in a state of shock.
Police reached the spot soon after receiving the information and took cognizance of the incident, and investigations have been set in motion to identify and nab the culprits.(GNS)
