Srinagar: Embarking on a new era in Cricket, the ‘Young Panthers’ team has emerged out in the scenic village of Chek in Tral Pulwama. Guided by Captain Faizan Gulzar, Vice Captain Yasir Altaf, Advisor Showkat Ahmad Mir, Spokesperson Azhar Ayoub, and Coach Hamid Mir, the team aims to infuse the excitement of cricket with a steadfast commitment to environmental sustainability.

Backed by the esteemed RJ Umar Nisar, who acknowledges the transformative power of sports, the Young Panthers not only seek to popularize cricket among the youth but also actively tackle climate crises, establishing themselves as pioneers in the intersection of sports and environmental advocacy.

Expressing his vision, RJ Umar Nisar stated, “Under the Young Panthers banner, our goal is to instill environmental responsibility in the youth, using cricket as a catalyst for positive change.”

Nestled in the heart of Tral Pulwama, the Young Panthers plan to involve local communities through tree plantation initiatives, awareness campaigns, and educational programs on climate change. Captain Faizan Gulzar emphasizes the team’s dedication to making a lasting impact beyond the cricket field.

“We’re more than just a cricket team; we are ambassadors for environmental consciousness. Our objective is to inspire and mobilize the community towards sustainable practices,” affirms Captain Faizan Gulzar.

Azhar Ayoub, the team’s spokesperson, adds, “Young Panthers will not only compete on the cricket ground but also strive to be champions in contributing to a greener and healthier planet.”

As the Young Panthers gear up for their inaugural season, the invaluable support and guidance of Advisor Showkat Ahmad Mir will play a pivotal role in shaping the team’s mission for both on-field success and environmental stewardship.
