Both personnel airlifted to Srinagar base hospital for treatment

Baramulla, July 28 (GNS): Two Army personnel sustained injuries in an accidental mine blast along the Line of Control in Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday, officials said.
The incident took place in the forward area of Kamalkote sector while the soldiers were on duty, officials told GNS.
The injured were immediately evacuated and airlifted to the Army’s Base Hospital at Badamibagh, Srinagar for advanced medical care.
Officials identified the injured as Dafadar Vijay Kumar, 42, and Naik Sharanapa Angari, 28. Both are posted with the 8 Rashtriya Rifles.
The exact cause of the explosion is under investigation, officials added. Further details are awaited. (GNS)
