Jammu, Mar 23(GNS): At least three persons were killed and six others injured after an Eco vehicle met with an accident at Ramakunda Morh in Reasi district on Monday afternoon.
Official sources told GNS that the accident occurred around 4:30 pm when the vehicle (No. JK19A-4098) was on its way from Gool towards Mahore.
The deceased have been identified as Haqnawaz (22), son of Mohd Shafi of Budhan; Shahraza Rahi (18), daughter of Mohd Shafi of Mahakund; and Rafaqat Hussain (15), son of Mohd Rafi of Mahakund.
Five others sustained injuries in the mishap and were rushed to CHC Mahore, they said. Some of the injured were later referred to District Hospital Reasi for specialized treatment.
The injured include driver Umar Gul (21) of Mahakund, Shahzia Kousar (18) of Dachan, Sadam Hussain (22) of Tangali, Adil Hussain (23) of Mahakund, and Shahnawaz (22) of Budhan.
Officials said further details are awaited as rescue operations were underway when the last reports came in. (GNS)
