Baramulla, July 6 A young man drowned in the River Jhelum near Jetty Khawaja Bagh area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday.
Reports reaching news agency JKNS said that the deceased has been identified as Uzair Ahmad Ganaie, son of Mohammad Arif Ganaie, a resident of Sherwani Colony Khawaja Bagh, Baramulla.
He said the youth slipped into the river and drowned. A rescue operation has been launched, and further details are awaited. (JKNS)
