Rajouri, July 25 (GNS): A 22-year-old man was found dead in a rented room at Bajabain in Sunderbani sector of Rajouri district on Saturday, officials said.
Officials told GNS that the deceased has been identified as Amit Singh, son of Kamal Singh, resident of village Kanchi Morh, Mougla, Tehsil Taryath, District Rajouri.
According to police, Amit was found hanging from a ceiling fan hook inside his rented accommodation. He was working at a sweet shop at Bajabain Main Chowk, owned by Sanjay Dutt, son of Balak Ram, resident of Thichka, Tehsil Beripattan.
On receiving information, police reached the spot and took the body into custody. Legal formalities are being completed.
Police have registered the matter and started an investigation. Further details are awaited. (GNS)
