Budgam, Apr 01: (GNS) Police in Budgam have arrested a trio alleged of involvement in illegal extraction and transportation of sand and bajri in central-Kashmir’s Budgam district.
An official told GNS that on receipt of information, a police party from Police station Khansaheb raided the spot and seized three tractors and a JCB loaded with illegally extracted and transported sand/bajri from Shaliganga Nala Arampora.
Identifying the accused as Showkat Ahmed Sofi , Jasarat Hameed Baba and Showkat Ahmed Ganie all residents of Dreygam Kasipora Khanshab, the official further said that a case FIR number 41/2021 under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigations set in motion. (GNS)
