Reasi, June 28(GNS): Eight Central Industrial Security Force personnel and a civilian driver were injured on Sunday after their bus skidded off the road near Tarakote in Reasi district.

Officials told GNS that the accident involved bus no. JK08D-5992, the driver of the said bus lost control, causing the vehicle to veer off the road.

The injured personnel have been identified as Sub-Inspector Shiv Charan Meena, Head Constables Sammy Kumar, M.M. Dubey and A. Ramesh, Constables P.K. Traya, B.D. Singh, B. Srinu and Pratyush, along with civilian driver Virender Singh.

All injured were initially shifted to GMC Jammu for treatment. Three personnel, Head Constables Sammy Kumar, M.M. Dubey, and Constable P.K. Traya were later referred to Narayana Hospital for advanced care.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident. The condition of the injured is being monitored. (GNS)
