Rajouri, April 18 (GNS): A 75-year-old shepherd died on Saturday after he fell into a deep gorge in Darhal area of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir.
Station House Officer (SHO) Barkat Qureshi told news agency GNS that the Shepherd namely Mohd Amin (75) son of Wazir Mohd Malik of Dodaj was grazing cattle today afternoon when he slipped from the hilltop and fell down into a gorge at Darhal.
The shepherd sustained serious injuries and was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital in an unconscious state, the officer said.
However, doctors present there declared him brought dead, the officer said.
The officer said that police has taken cognizance and started further investigations into it. (GNS)
