Police arrests four gamblers in Ganderbal; Stake money seized

Police in Ganderbal have arrested 04 gamblers and seized stake money and playing cards from their possession.

Acting on a specific information regarding gambling activities on a link road at Barkati Mohalla Safapora-Hakbara, a Police party of PS Safapora headed by SHO PS Safapora under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Ganderbal raided the specific spot and apprehended 04 gamblers & recovered stake money of ₹5800/- & playing cards from their possession.

They have been identified as Hilal Ahmad Malla  son of Ali Mohd Malla  resident of Chandergair, Sajad Ahmad Sagoo son of Ab Rehman Sagoo resident of Hakbara, Mohd Ramzan Fafoo son of Bashir Ahmad Fafoo resident of Hakbara and Gh Qadir Shairgojree son of Noor Mohd Shairgojree resident of Hakbara.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 04/2024, under relevant sections of law stands registered at PS Safapora and investigation has been initiated.

Persons found indulging in criminal activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local police units.
