Kulgam 27: Jammu and Kashmir Health Minister Sakina Itoo has announced that around 19 lakh children in the 0–5 years age group across the Union Territory will be administered the Pulse Polio vaccine as part of the immunization drive scheduled for tomorrow.

Speaking to DD News, the minister appealed to all parents and guardians to bring their children to the designated Pulse Polio vaccination centres to ensure they receive the life-saving vaccine and remain protected against polio.

Sakina Itoo stressed that the success of the Pulse Polio campaign depends on active public participation and urged families not to miss the opportunity to vaccinate their children.

The Health Minister also said that the government is considering announcing summer vacations for schools in the Kashmir Division during the month of July in view of the prevailing weather conditions. She said a final decision will be taken after reviewing the overall situation.
