Police in Ganderbal have arrested a notorious drug peddler and recovered contraband substances from his possession.
Police Station Ganderbal received an information through reliable sources that one person namely Sharief Ahmad Baba son of Mohammad Maqbool Baba resident of Gujarpati Shahpora has hoarded banned drugs in his residential house. Acting swiftly, a Police Party led by SHO PS Ganderbal under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Ganderbal along with Executive Magistrate First Class raided the spot. During search, Bungh Patri & Charas Powder were recovered from the said residential house. Besides, accused has been arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 31/2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered at PS Ganderbal & investigation has been initiated.
