Police Rescue 15 Tourists Stranded Amid Heavy Snowfall in Doodhpathri

Srinagar, Feb 27 : Jammu and Kashmir Police in Budgam rescued at least fifteen tourists stranded amid heavy snowfall in tourist spot Doodhpathri in Budgam district on Thursday.

Talking to news agency Kashmir Bulletin, a police official said that upon receiving information about the tourists having gone stuck in the area, a rescue operation was instantly launched. “The tourists were rescued in multiple phases with utmost care as to ensure their safety,” the official said.

The police teams led by SHO alongside SDPO Khansahib, were ably assisted by Tehsildar and SDM concerned, the official added. (KB)
