Srinagar, Aug 17 : The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has postponed the bi-annual examinations for classes 10th and 11th scheduled to be held tomorrow.
According to a statement as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, the exams fixed for August 18 stand deferred across J&K UT as well as Leh and Kargil districts of Ladakh. New dates will be announced separately, while centre superintendents and jurisdictional SHOs have been asked to ensure proper intimation.
“The decision has been taken purely in the interest of student safety given the inclement weather and cloudburst situation in Kathua,” it reads.
All sub and branch officers must ensure dissemination of the announcement through WhatsApp groups and other official channels, statement reads. (KNC)
