Srinagar: The University of Kashmir has recorded a notable rise in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025, moving up 11 spots to secure the 34th position in the overall category, as announced by the Union Education Ministry.
The institution, which was ranked 45th in the 2024 edition, has once again secured its place among the top 50 universities in the country. The latest achievement, as per Alfaaz – The Words, follows a consistent performance in recent years, with the university ranked 33rd in the overall category in 2023.
The NIRF rankings evaluate institutions across multiple streams, including universities, colleges, engineering and technology institutions, management schools, research centres, and pharmacy colleges.
