Srinagar: A 17-year-old Class 12 student was found dead at his residence in Paryote village of the Bhaderwah area in Doda district on Wednesday afternoon, shortly after the declaration of examination results, reports said.
The deceased has been identified as Revansh Sharma, son of Bal Krishan. According to initial reports, the student was alone at home at the time of the incident. When his sister returned, she found him unresponsive. He was taken for medico legal formalities, where doctors declared him dead.
Family sources said the student was under stress after failing in one subject in the recently declared Class 12 results. However, the exact circumstances leading to the incident are being verified.
Police have taken cognisance of the matter and initiated further investigation.
