Srinagar, June 28: A three-year-old boy sustained critical injuries after he was allegedly hit by an unidentified vehicle in the Lalgam area of Awantipora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday.
The injured child has been identified as Arham Dar, son of Shabir Ud Din Dar, a resident of Noorpora, Awantipora.
According to hospital sources, the child was initially taken to the Primary Health Centre (PHC), Awantipora, where he received preliminary treatment before being referred to SKIMS Soura in view of the seriousness of his injuries.
The boy’s attendant told doctors that the child was struck by an unidentified vehicle while crossing the road at Lalgam, resulting in multiple head injuries.
Hospital sources said the condition of the child remains critical and he is undergoing treatment at SKIMS.
