Srinagar, 14 Jul 2026: Kargil Vijay Diwas serves as a solemn reminder of the courage, honour, selflessness and supreme sacrifice of our soldiers, inspiring us to renew our commitment to the values they upheld. Hence Kargil Vijay Diwas is not just merely a day to remember but also a day to celebrate the valour and grit of our soldiers. The Nation celebrates 27th anniversary of the victory by hosting series of events at Srinagar, Drass and Kargil.

As a pre-cursor to 27th Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations, Akhil Bhartiya Poorva Sainik Seva Parishad is conducting an Ex-Servicemen visit to Srinagar, followed by visit to Drass and Kargil, underscoring the spirit and fervour of patriotism amongst the Armed Forces Veterans. The team of our valiant Veterans & Veer Naris, led by Major General P Vivekananda (Retd) arrived at Badami Bagh Cantonment, Srinagar on 13 Jul 2026. The Veterans & Veer Naris paid tribute at the Chinar War Memorial, visited “Ibadat-e-Shahadat” museum and witnessed the rich heritage & culture of Jammu and Kashmir.

The event highlighted the role of Ex-Servicemen in collaborating with the Kashmiri society towards Nation Building. The visit appreciates the energy, spirit and camaraderie of the Veterans which epitomise the motto of "Naam Namak aur Nishaan" and reinforces the adage “Once a Soldier Always a Soldier".
