NSUI Disowns Individual Claiming District President Post In Kupwara

Srinagar: The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), Jammu and Kashmir unit, has disowned an individual namely Mohammad Umar, stating that the person has no official position as District President of NSUI Kupwara or any other district-level post in the organisation.

In a public notice by Ajay Lakhotra, State President of NSUI Jammu and Kashmir says that Umar had been “falsely representing himself” as District President of NSUI Kupwara and categorically rejected any such claim, representation or public statement as unauthorised.

appointed to any district-level position under the NSUI Jammu and Kashmir unit and that the organisation “completely disowns” him in respect of any claim to the district presidency or any similar official designation in Kupwara or elsewhere in Jammu and Kashmir.

The NSUI also cautioned that no individual was authorised to use its name, logo, letterhead or organisational credentials to project an unauthorised position or engage with administrative authorities, educational institutions, students or the public under a false designation.

“All concerned authorities, educational institutions, district administration, media, and the general public are requested to take note of this clarification and not to entertain any claim or representation made by Mohammad Umar in the capacity of District President of NSUI Kupwara or any other unauthorised position,” the notice, reads.

The organisation said the notice was issued in the interest of maintaining organisational integrity and preventing any alleged misuse of the NSUI name.
