Srinagar, Aug 19(GNS): United States Ambassador to India, Sergio Gor, on Wednesday met Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in Srinagar.
In a post on X, as per GNS, the US Ambassador said he appreciated the opportunity to meet the Chief Minister and to learn more about his priorities.
“We discussed ways to deepen economic collaboration and create opportunities that would mutually benefit both of our nations,” Gor wrote.
The meeting comes amid ongoing efforts to strengthen economic and trade ties between Jammu and Kashmir and the United States.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has been highlighting J&K’s potential in tourism, handicrafts, IT, and renewable energy, and has been seeking greater international investment and collaboration for the region.
