Bandipora, Sep 23: Sumbal Police during naka checking at Sarai Dangerpora intercepted a Tata Ex-Mobio CR with CAB Goods Carrier (LGV) bearing registration number JK15A-0376 and seized approximately 12 barrels containing around 2,400 litres of unauthorized petrol.
Police apprehended Ghulam Mohiuddin Hajam alias Pamba, son of Abdul Rashid Hajam of Hajam Mohalla, Hajin, who was driving the vehicle, and Aijaz Rasool Malla, son of Ghulam Rasool Malla of Hajam Mohalla, Hajin, who was travelling as co-driver/passenger.
In connection with the seizure, FIR No. 215/2026 has been registered at Police Station Sumbal under relevant sections of law. [KNT]
