Srinagar, Sep 23 (GNS): A 70-year-old pedestrian who was injured after being hit by a motorcycle at Achabal Chowk in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district has succumbed to his injuries.
Officials told GNS that the accident took place on September 22 morning when a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AV-4666, driven by Asif Bilal (19), son of Bilal Ahmad Naikoo, presently residing at Shelipora Achabal and originally a resident of Gadhol Kokernag, hit a pedestrian identified as Ghulam Hassan Rangraz (70), son of Ghulam Qadir, resident of Shelipora Achabal.
Both the rider and the pedestrian sustained injuries and were shifted to SDH Achabal for treatment. The injured pedestrian was later referred to GMC Anantnag, where he succumbed today, they said.
Police have registered a case in this regard and started investigation.(GNS)
