Ganderbal, Oct 12: A 21-year-old youth was injured in a bear attack in the Lar area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Monday, officials said.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the youth was injured after being attacked by the wild animal in the Bagh Lar area of Ganderbal.
He said the youth was soon taken to District Hospital Ganderbal, where doctors provided first aid before referring him to SKIMS Soura in Srinagar for further treatment.
The injured was identified as Shamji Bhat (21), son of Munuji Bhat and a resident of Lar.
Meanwhile, the condition of the injured youth was not immediately known, while locals urged the authorities to take measures to prevent such incidents.
