Srinagar, July 29(GNS): An unidentified body was found on Thursday inside a tub floating in water at Babadem area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.
Officials told GNS that locals noticed the tub in a water body in the area and on looking closer found a body inside. They immediately informed the police.
A police team reached the spot soon after and took cognizance of the matter. The identity of the deceased is yet to be established.
The body has been taken into custody and shifted for medico-legal formalities.
Police said further investigation is underway to ascertain the cause of death and other circumstances leading to the incident. More details are awaited.(GNS)
