Bandipora, September 14 : The body of nine-year-old Momin Ahmad, a resident of Ganie Mohalla, Kaloosa, was recovered from a nallah in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Monday, bringing an end to a days-long search and rescue operation.
According to officials, the recovery was made after several days of intensive search efforts involving rescue teams, local authorities and community volunteers. The teams had been engaged in the operation to trace the missing child.
The boy’s body was eventually located in the water channel and retrieved by the rescue personnel.
Following the recovery, the concerned authorities have initiated the necessary legal and procedural formalities. Further details regarding the circumstances leading to the incident are awaited.
