Srinagar, Nov 28: The Government of India has assigned the additional charge of Director General, Border Security Force (BSF), to Shri Praveen Kumar, IPS (WB:1993), who is currently serving as the Director General of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).
As per an official order as per news agency Kashmir News Corner (KNC), the Competent Authority has approved the arrangement following the superannuation of Shri Daljit Singh Chaudhary, IPS (UP:1990), who will retire from the post of DG, BSF on 30 November 2025.
Shri Praveen Kumar will hold the additional charge until a regular appointment is made or until further orders, whichever comes earlier, the order reads.
