New Delhi, Jun 11 : The Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and discussed a range of issues concerning Jammu and Kashmir, including the early restoration of statehood, economic growth, developmental initiatives and promotion of tourism in the Union Territory.

As per news agency JKNS, the Prime Minister’s Office, in a post on X, informed that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah met Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Following the meeting, Omar Abdullah said he discussed several matters of importance to Jammu and Kashmir with the Prime Minister, including the early return of statehood, the condition of the economy, the pace of development and measures to further boost tourism in the region.

The Chief Minister also congratulated Prime Minister Modi on completing 12 uninterrupted years in office, describing the milestone as a significant achievement.

The meeting assumes significance amid continued political discussions over the restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir and efforts to accelerate economic development and tourism growth in the Union Territory. (JKNS)
