Srinagar, Aug 24(GNS):Chief Minister today directed the School Education Department to complete its inquiry into the heinous Kishtwar incident concerning a young schoolgirl expeditiously, so that stringent and exemplary action can be ensured in the matter.
The direction comes after the death of a 14-year-old schoolgirl, who died after she was being shifted to hospital for medical termination of pregnancy.
The Chief Minister said the matter is highly sensitive and must be dealt with firmly to ensure justice to the victim and her family.
Meanwhile, the accused teacher involved in the incident has been already arrested by police and has also been placed under suspension by the department.
Police have registered a case and further investigation is underway.(GNS)
