Poonch, Mar 26 (GNS): Acting tough against shopkeepers found violating restriction orders, authorities on Thursday sealed three shops in Mendhar area of Poonch district. Reports reaching GNS said Tehsildar Mendhar Dr Vikram Kumar along with Block Medical Officer Dr Parvaiz Ahmed Khan sealed three shops after they were found operating at the market in violation of section 144 CrPc. The action was initiated after the government ordered shopkeepers to close down the businesses to prevent spread of Covid-19. Talking to GNS, Tehsildar Mendhar said the administration has been constantly making announcements, appealing people not to come out of their homes unnecessarily and adhere to the health guideline. He also stressed on shopkeepers, owners of restaurants and other business establishments to ensure complete shutdown across all markets to contain the spread of infection. So far one death has been reported in Kashmir due to the novel coronavirus disease. To prevent the spread of the virus, the government has imposed restrictions across the country.
