COVID-19: SDM Karnah issues guidelines for passenger vehicle drivers

KUPWARA, SEPTEMBER 01: Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Karnah, Dr. Bilal Mohiddin Bhat today advised the general public and drivers of passenger vehicles including Tata Sumo, Tavera, Xylo, Scorpio and Innova to strictly follow the COVID-19 related SOPs and guidelines.    

In this regard, the drivers have been directed to board 05 passengers only in their vehicles with the strict implementation of Covid SOPs and the violation of which shall invite penalty under rules.

The drivers have strictly been directed to collect fare as per the list issued by the SDM and the same must be affixed in the vehicles for information of the passengers.

He further directed that no vehicle shall be allowed to be parked along the road side in the market and should be parked in identified areas and stands only. 

If any person is found violating instructions and guidelines, the general public can contact these Helpline numbers to register their complaints 7006701143, 9596600833, 8491074930 and the same shall be dealt under law.

All Sector Magistrates and the Duty Magistrates along with Police representatives have been directed to ensure the protocol is followed in letter and spirit.
