21 Girl Students Felicitated for Completing Memorisation of Holy Quran

Kupwara, Aug 19: A daylong annual congregational programme was held here in Dar-ul-Uloom Ayesha Sadeeq-ul-Banaat in Gonipora Kupwara on Thursday.
The programme was attended by Mufti Muzaffar Hussain Qasmi, Molvi Mohammad Iqbal, Mufti Mohammad Musa, Molvi Abdul Ahad, Mufti Tariq Ahmad and Molvi Gh Nabi besides a host of other prominent Islamic scholars.
On the eve, twenty-one girl students were felicitated (Dastar Bandi) for completing the memorisation of the Holy Quran.
The attending scholars in the speeches (Bayaan) unequivocally highlighted the importance and significance vis-à-vis imparting of Quranic education to the female gender.
The event was attended by family members of the girls, who on the behalf of those (girls) completing the Hifz course were don with turbans – as an act of symbolism by the scholars present on the occasion. Kashmir Glory News
