DC orders closure of ATMs, banks in Red Zones of Kupwara

Srinagar, April 16 (GNS): The district authorities ordered closure of all the banks and ATMs in the areas declared red zone in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Thursday.

According to an order issued by the Deputy Commissioner Dr Anshul Garg, the branches of Jammu and Kashmir Bank in Trehgam, Drugmulla, J&K Grameen bank in Bagbella and Drugmulla, Cooperative Bank Trehgam, J&k USB branch Mangiah And State Bank of India’s Trehgam branch have been ordered to closure since all the all areas are red zones.

“In addition, all the ATMs falling under red zones shall also remain closed with immediate effect,” the order said.

It said that the lead district manager shall act as nodal officer for ensuing mobile ATMs in all red zones from 10:00am to 5:00pm on daily basis.

“He shall coordinate with nodal officer to ensure daily fumigation of vehicles and provision of PPE kits to the officials to be deployed with mobile ATM vans,” the order adds. (GNS)
