February 05: DIG North Kashmir Range Baramulla Shri Maqsood-ul-Zaman-IPS, today visited district Bandipora in order to review security scenario, anti-terrorist operations, law & order situation in the district.
At the onset of the visit the DIG NKR visited the location of Kishan Ganga Hydel Power Project, accompanied by SSP Bandipora Shri Harmeet Singh Mehta-JKPS and other senior officers of Bandipora Police. He reviewed the present security grid of the project and directed officers on ground to remain extra alert and deal with any kind of exigency professionally.
The DIG later on chaired a meeting with officers at District Police Headquarters Bandipora. During the meeting, he appreciated the efforts of Bandipora Police for maintaining law & order in the district. He also took stock of the overall security situation & counter insurgency operations and emphasized upon the officers to adopt a professional approach while dealing with counter insurgency operations.
